Chris Heron

Chris has over 10 years’ experience providing commercial and policy advice on energy issues. His role at Austrade is to bring productive foreign direct investment into Australia from Asia in key sectors related to the energy transition and clean energy manufacturing. At Austrade, Chris works with a network of investment directors across the globe who promote and facilitate investment into Australia. Prior to Austrade, Chris was a policy adviser in the Queensland Government, where he focused on reforms related to large-scale renewables and the transmission sector. He has also worked for the Commonwealth Government in Canberra in the team responsible for Australia’s engagement with the International Energy Agency.
