
Dr Joy Jiang
Group Leader and Lecturer in Chemistry, The Net Zero Institute The University of Sydney
Joy completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry from USyd, developing nanomaterials and functional ionic solvents. She then moved to Harvard University as a postdoc in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where she worked at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and engineering. Joy was awarded with the prestigious Sydney Horizon Fellowship and returned to USyd in 2024 as a chief investigator. Her team develops green chemical solutions to sustainability and climate challenges.
