Carl has worked in Australia’s electricity sector for 18 years in transactions, commercialisation, engineering consulting and market analyst roles. Carl is currently leading ARENA’s energy storage and renewable integration portfolios, focusing on the commercialisation of technologies that accelerate the transition to renewables. Over 8 years at ARENA, Carl has managed grant-funding transactions covering big batteries, grid-forming inverters, renewable integration technologies, long duration storage technologies and emerging battery tech.
