Her experience spans trading batteries as part of broader portfolios, incorporating retail and forward positions, market conditions, and tolling and leasing structures. She has deep knowledge of the complex configurations of autobidders and tolling platforms in the NEM, having led RFP processes and selected providers aligned to the specific needs of the company she is representing.

Before specialising in energy markets, Clare held roles in commercial development and consulting, with a focus on solar and battery projects. She enjoys strategy and risk management, and her passion for clean energy underpins her interest in batteries. Their complexity from a trading perspective creates opportunities for companies that think strategically to generate strong financial outcomes. Clare believes finance is a critical enabler of the clean energy transition, with batteries representing a key gap; one that Australia is leading the way in addressing.
