
Dr Joy Jiang
Dr. Joy Jiang is a Chief Investigator at The University of Sydney’s Net Zero Institute. Specializing at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and device engineering, she leads a research group focused on electrified solutions for energy storage and climate challenges. With a background that includes a Ph.D. from The University of Sydney and postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard University, Dr. Jiang has co-invented 12 patents and successfully commercialized 5 products to date. She is the recipient of the 2025 Asian-Australian Leadership Award in Science, has served as an international reviewing panellist for the United Nations Environment Programme, and currently sits on the National Committee for Chemistry for the Australian Academy of Science.
