Glenn Dahlenburg
Energy Queensland’s General Manager Energy Storage, Glenn Dahlenburg has always led from the front when it comes to innovation.
Since the start of the energy transition, Glenn has worked on the cutting edge to ensure Queensland’s electricity distribution networks have kept pace with changes in technology, like solar PV, electric vehicles, and battery storage.
With extensive experience in distributed energy resources, renewables, and energy storage, Glenn is now leading Energy Queensland’s Network Battery Project.
It is a massive undertaking that will deliver more than 200 network-connected batteries over the next 18 months, with a combined capacity of over 400MWh. The state-wide project is leveraging energy storage to support the safe and secure uptake of more rooftop solar on homes and businesses.
Glenn is also spearheading the implementation of Australia’s first Local Renewable Energy Zones in Caloundra and Townsville. The pilot project aims to break down the barriers for customers who do not have access to solar, like renters and low-income households, and maximise the benefits of renewable energy for the whole community.
These innovative and customer-driven projects are testament to Glenn’s reputation as a strategic thinker whose work across a broad range of energy infrastructure, technology and transformation initiatives is supporting the significant and rapid changes in the energy sector.
Glenn remains committed to supporting an efficient and economic transition to a net zero energy future.
