Joris Eerkens

With over 27 years of expertise spanning Renewable Energy, EPC construction and management consulting, Joris has demonstrated his acumen through various senior management roles, leading teams at Canadian Solar and prominent construction companies. His notable contributions include his involvement in the delivery of more than 850MW of solar farm projects, serving as a project director for large-scale construction endeavours, and providing strategic consulting services to clients such as Santos, Energex and RACQ. Joris possesses extensive proficiency in guiding energy projects from their initial feasibility stages to the ultimate realisation of the project objectives.

As the co-founder and managing director of Squirrel Energy, Joris continues to leverage his wealth of experience in the field. Squirrel Energy stands as a vertically integrated company dedicated to the development, construction and operation of distributed energy storage systems. Under Joris’s guidance, the company developed proprietary smart algorithms for market energy trading as well as operational control software tailored for energy storage systems
