José Luis Herrero

With over 15 years of international experience in the renewable energy sector, including the past eight years in Australia, José has held senior leadership roles, specialising in the commercial structuring and financing of greenfield projects. He has extensive experience in project finance, equity investments, offtake agreements, and M&A transactions, with a successful track record of bringing projects to financial close.

North Harbour Clean Energy (NHCE) is building a clean energy business dedicated to owning and operating a portfolio of energy assets with storage at its core, coupled with the technology and capability to deliver reliable, on-demand, clean energy. The team is passionate about contributing to Australia’s renewable energy future, with industry leading expertise and insights that are pivotal in supporting the transition.

Prior to NHCE, José held senior roles at FRV, CWP/Squadron Energy, BayWa r.e., Cubico and Siemens-Gamesa, among others.

José has a Dual Degree in Law and Business.
