Lani Johns is the General Manager of Indigenous Energy Australia, specialising in engagement, social sustainability, and strategy. With a Master of Sustainability, Bachelor of Laws, and Certificate of Engagement, she is an engagement-first leader who builds trust early, combines compliance rigour with place-based relationships, and delivers community and client-focused solutions that achieve lasting, generational outcomes. Lani has held senior national leadership roles, including APAC Social Value Capability Leader at Aurecon Group, and has shaped policy for the Commonwealth, NSW, and QLD governments – ranging from sustainable procurement and ESG frameworks to consultation approaches for major infrastructure. She has empowered communities across diverse industries, working with clients such as Sydney Water, Lendlease, Google, and Woolworths, and successfully delivered a 6-Star Green Star precinct recertification. She is an active member of the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), the Social Impact Measurement Network Australia (SIMNA), and the International Association of Impact Assessment (IAIA).
