Thomas Hou

Thomas Hou is a Director of Sungrow Australia Group for the company’s business across the Australia-New Zealand (ANZ) and Pacific Islands Region. He oversees the strategic growth of Sungrow’s portfolio, focusing on large-scale solar and storage solutions as well as commercial and industrial batteries. His team is now delivering Australia’s largest DC-coupled project (Cunderdin SF) and South Australia’s second largest ESS project (Templers BESS) as well as NEM’s largest SUB5MW portfolio.

Prior to joining Sungrow, Thomas served various management and engineering roles across companies including Suntech Power, UGL and Broadspectrum (now part of Ventia). He has strong expertise in general management, business development and strategic management over renewable, power, oil and gas, water, and education research sectors.

Thomas holds a Master of Engineering degree from The University of Sydney and Bachelor of Engineering dual-degree from The University of Sydney and Harbin Institute of Technology.
