Tom Bakker

Tom is an experienced energy industry professional who has a passion for the future of energy. His expertise spans multiple disciplines including project management and development, power systems engineering, strategy formulation, and commercial analysis. He has worked across multiple international markets including Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, the wider EU and Africa.

Since joining Aurecon in 2019, Tom has led a variety of engagements including engineering studies, regulatory advice, strategy formulation, commercial opportunity analysis, technical due diligence on project transactions, and grid connection studies.

Before joining Aurecon, Tom worked across Europe for E.ON in a management consulting capacity. Prior to this, Tom spent the bulk of his career in Energex (now part of Energy Queensland) as an electrical engineer in a variety of roles including substation design, asset management, and project estimation.
