This session will examine the vital role of First Nations communities, social licensing, and community engagement in advancing energy storage projects across Australia. Beginning with a 20-minute panel discussion welcoming Lani Johns, Louie Trajkoski, Ganesh Karki and Jess Padman to the stage. Participants will then engage in 20 minutes of interactive roundtable discussions to address key challenges and opportunities in community engagement. Concluding with a 5-minute summary from each table. This session will provide attendees with practical insights, real-world examples, and collaborative strategies to ensure energy storage projects are not only technically successful but also socially inclusive and community-driven.
