Alexander has a long and successful track record in funds and asset management, portfolio advisory and construction. With over 25 years of direct global infrastructure investment experience – he is one of Australia’s most experienced infrastructure investment professionals in the sector. As CEO Alexander is responsible for design and execution of the strategy of Infradebt. Infradebt is a boutique infrastructure debt fund manager focused on originating, structuring and managing private debt investments for infrastructure projects in Australia. Renowned as a key financier of renewable initiatives in Australia, Infradebt is distinguished by its commitment to ethical investing and active participation in the energy transition. Infradebt launched Australia’s first ethically screened private debt fund (Infradebt Ethical Fund) in 2017 and has supported more than 50 projects nationwide. In 2023 Infradebt established the Energy Transition Fund which is dedicated to providing debt finance for utility scale battery projects with material merchant exposure.

Prior to Infradebt’s foundation in 2013, Alexander was a founding partner of Access Capital Advisers (which is now branded as Whitehelm Capital / PATRIZIA Infrastructure), one of the pioneers of direct Australian infrastructure investment. During his tenor at Access, Alexander led the firm’s investment strategy and was extensively involved in its infrastructure investments across both brownfields and greenfields transactions as well as debt and equity investments. Alexander’s experience combines direct, hands-on infrastructure investment and management experience with the broader perspective of investment strategy, asset allocation/portfolio/risk management experience.
